This Jeff Koons ‘Ballon Rabbit (Red)’ is a 2017 multiple comprised of metallic porcelain with chromatic coating. This piece is titled, dated and numbered 219/999 including a total edition of 50 artist’s proofs. It was published by Bernardaud, Limoges, France, with their stamp, the original cardboard box and certificate of authenticity. The balloon animal series represents the ephemerality of human life. These works are symbolic of the fleeting human condition. Just like balloon animals, the viewer is able to see their reflection in these sculptures. This series of work both literally and figuratively mirrors the cycle of life. This multiple is signed, numbered and brand new in its original unopened box.
